I'm going to try to keep today light. I'm going to a Bunco party tonight where there will be lots of tasty party snacks, and I am a sucker for appetizers. I'm planning on skipping dinner because the party starts at 7:00 and that's when I usually eat anyway.
For breakfast today, I had pineapple chunks (I finally finished them!), a sliced kiwi, and 1/2 c. 2% cottage cheese. I also ate a handful (around 1/4 c.? I didn't measure today) of Kashi Heart to Heart cereal for a little crunch.
My breakfast, along with a cup of hot black tea:
Kashi Heart to Heart is one of two packaged cereals I will actually buy because I'm very picky about cereal. The other cereal is Quaker Crunchy Corn Bran, which will make an appearance soon. Both of these cereals have low calories and fat and high fiber for a generous serving size. Neither have high fructose corn syrup or added sugar, either. I was never allowed to eat sugary cereal when I was young, and that has definitely influenced my choices as an adult.
I still need to decide what to make for the party, but I'll post the recipe later after a trip to the grocery store. I also need to pick up some more Cara Cara oranges before they disappear!
